Located east of the Windsor Castle Manor House on Cypress Creek is the Windsor Castle Park Fishing Pier. For years, this has been a quietly “locals known” fishing destination.
Historically, there remains in place an old brick ramp beside the fishing dock where boater would launch the boats years ago. In 2010, the old pier was replaced with a new pier to provide years of recreational fishing to come.
The fishing pier is open from dawn to dusk. Parking is available on the lawn between the barns of the manor house. There are a variety of seasonal species of fish to target from at this location, including catfish, croaker, and striped bass. Crabbers have also been successful on the creek. All Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries rules and regulations apply. Fishing licenses are required. Fish responsibly and keep the fishing dock and area clean. There is a trash can provided at the pier.
As a reminder fishing is not allowed at the Kayak launch or any of the other five pedestrian bridges located through out the Park.
